Texas A&M MBA/MSF option
I anticipate ANT will chime in as he is the SME, I'm hoping others have run across peers who are alumni of Mays MBA/MSF program.
Do you feel the MsF was worth the additional semester? Does the MsF compete with those of your peers who got their MsF from a full time MsF program? Knowing what you know today would you do it again?
cmoss are you an undergrad at tamu right now? i am!! The MSF is only open to undergrad students at tamu
You can only do the MSF if you are an undergrad at A&M and get into one of two programs.
This is what im talking about.

you are saying i cant do this option unless im currently and undergrad there?
UPDATE: LinkedIn hooked me up with a recent grad of this program (looks like i was wrong its an additional 36 credits)
"...I completed the dual MBA/MSF program at A&M this past December. I believe the MSF degree was valuable for me because I lacked finance experience on my resume when I started the MBA program. Mays MBA is great, but since it is a 16 month program I did not feel it gave me the opportunity to develop the financial acumen I needed.
I felt the MSF program was not as difficult as the MBA program, but that could be partially due to the fact that I had just completed an intense MBA program and I continued to work and prep for class the same way I did for my MBA courses.
I think you should ask yourself where you want to take your career and what you need to get there. If you need the extra finance work, then the MSF might be right for you. However, it is not an additional 6 months. It is an additional 36 credit hours and your MBA course work can not be counted towards that total.
..."
Post that on the Linkedin group if you want. Pretty solid insight.
Will do
Cmoss Where did you end up working after finishing up your dual program? Also where are you currently working?
