Texas MBA vs UNC MBA

Which program is better for investment banking?

My gut would say Texas b/c of its proximity to houston.

while we are on the topic of "lower top tier mba programs", how would you rank the following programs in terms of their IB exit opportunities?

michigan, ucla, duke, virginia, cornell, texas, unc

i would say:

1) cornell
2) virginia
3) ucla
4) duke
5) michigan
6) texas
7) unc

how about you?

Where are you getting those rankings AA? think Texas should definitely be higher, as well as Michigan.

I'd say Texas over UNC, too. Although, I think Kelley (Indiana) has a better B-School than UNC, just doesn't have the prestige.

the schools i mentioned above are all in the lower top tier of business schools, meaning, give or take, ranked in the low teens to low twenties. im asking for people's opinions on how these programs are for investment banking opportunities. i think that virginia, cornell, and ucla send more people into banking than michigan. duke i think, is pretty much even with michigan. once again, i am interested in hearing other people's opinions on these schools.

"the schools i mentioned above are all in the lower top tier of business schools, meaning, give or take, ranked in the low teens to low twenties."

Yes, I know. Notice I didn't mention Wharton.

"once again, i am interested in hearing other people's opinions on these schools."

Fine by me, you got my opinion whether you wanted it or not.

Where do you plan on living for the future? if texas is where you want to reside then i suggest you choose UT

as i mentioned in post 3, this is a hypothetical exercise. just assume all you want is to work at BB in a major office (NYC, Chicago,San Fran, Houston, LA) in other words, location don't matter.

just rank the schools by how you think they are for investment banking.

did i detect a hint of passive-agressive bitchiness, u of h girl? is it that time of the month again or has 1styearbanker been sexting you?

notice all i did was answer the questions you made in your first post. gentleman that i am, i won't deign to quote your original post to prove my point, however.

and no, you didn't give me your opinion on how you would rank the seven schools at all. you just made something up about indiana.

xoxo

Way to go AA. U of H girl makes a comment, and you immediately make a sexist and misogynistic response. First you mention her "bitchiness", then her period, then insinuate something about her sexual history. You come off as a complete douche. hth

I'm not the passive aggressive type, AA. I'll let you know what I think. And drop the sexist remarks.

I noticed you said that you wanted the opinions of "others" - not sure what the hell you meant, regardless, I gave my two cents. Take it or leave it.

I mentioned Indiana because I personally think it's a better school than some of the ones you mentioned. But nobody's mentioned their say about each school.

Hopefully, you'll find those detailed answers you're looking for.

yes, hopefully i do find those answers to my hypothetical exercise. i just won't be finding them from you or that moron startop who posted above you.

remember how just a few days ago i gave you a good, detailed answer about a strategy for breaking into BB? and all i get in return is this "how about indiana, where did you get those rankings from" rubbish with a bit of passive-agressive "notice how i didn't mention wharton" toilet water dumped on top. shame shame shame.

as for that moron startop, were you the hall monitor in grade school or something? god, you must be an insufferable sow.

look, its a very easy exercise- just rank the stupid schools and maybe give some reasoning for it! i mean, people do it on this site everyday!

AA, calm down.. You sound like a lunatic..

It was a simple question that I asked. Perhaps, you should be less sensitive and simply grow up: those insults you threw at Startop were pathetic and childish.

And I don't owe you anything. I answered your question, but I'm not sure why you go off on people for not being more detailed. You don't always get the answers you're looking for, but c'est la vie.

Hopefully, more people will comply w/ your "demands"..
