Everything helps but I think FT/WSJ articles are of overall higher quality.
Thank You!
where are you from though
I'd say wsj for usa
ft for uk
.
It's trash. I say this from a historical perspective. The publication has been around for over a century, I highly recommend you look back, maybe by just 1 or 2 decades at their predictions. It's hard to find someone with a better reputation and yet being consistently out of touch with reality.
The cherry on top of the cake is their latest presentation on Critical Race Theory as ''human rights'' teaching but really, garbage.
I appreciate your output. I do agree that this journal can be perceived as biased and excessively pushing some controversial ideas, especially in politics sections. But truly saying I am reading this journal for improving my english (I am non-native) and also to develop some kind of basic business sense. I don't know why but their business section seems less technical and more story-based which is good for the beginning.
Are you looking for finance specifically? WSJ and Bloomberg are better options.
.
Economist is more of a foreign policy mag imo but I read it every week because I find it very interesting. Don’t necessarily agree with a lot of it I think it’s a bit biased but it’s good to know what’s going on in Ethiopia, Belarus etc and will make your knowledge more well rounded. WSJ and FT are better for finance knowledge for sure.
Thank You for the reply. And about Belarus plane case and Ethiopia telecom auction they are interesting, agree with that. I also like the Schumpeter articles (Like about M&A this week).
The Economist is a very good magazine, but it is more of a macro focus I guess. If you want to know micro workings of business I would suggest reading Bloomberg news instead.
Thank you for the reply. By saying Bloomberg, you mean its daily news, or Bloomberg businessweek? I have read businessweek, it is not so business oriented as I would suppose
Bloomberg daily news. I have a subscription so I can access all of Bloomberg news online other than the Bloomberg professional content. There are a number of free email newsletters for different interest that you can sign up for. They usually contain a one to a few paragraph summaries of leading stories in each category.
