How effective is transferring schools with the new accelerated employment

My plan was to try to transfer to a target/semi target school after 2 years at my current school, I’m now worried with how accelerated recruitment and internships are now a days with Junior year SA being done by Sophmore spring, and summer. Is it even worth transferring anymore, I would be applying for Junior SA while at my shitty school according to this. Any help and input would be appreciated

That was also my plan, although it would be expensive I would be willing to do it. I also plan to try to get in through diversity which seems to be easier but they also recruit earlier so I’m not sure if delaying by a semester would work

I would "officially" stay on track to graduate on time by taking the proper number of credits, but recruit in the spring as if you are adding the extra semester. If you get the offer, then just take one class the last semester which should be much cheaper than a whole semester tuition cost. If you don't get an offer, then you can go back to graduating normally. Pretty much eliminates the risk by not really committing to the cost of an extra semester unless you get an offer, at which point it would be financially worth it.

I don't get what you mean by not working because of diversity? Early diversity recruiting just means earlier in the spring, that still works with the added semester timeline. I have friends that went through diversity recruiting with the extra semester as well.

yeah I’ve been reading some of the school specific recruiting posts on here and some people are saying stuff like UVA is done recruiting before you take a single class as a junior. That worries me
