The Hammer sticks it to Obama!!!

So I was rather hesitant to stick this in the "Monkeying Around " forum because it's rather serious but I don't think I have any other option. Okay, so maybe it isn't life or death and actually, it probably isn't important to many of you...and we've certainly covered this ground before so maybe we're beating a dead horse.

Anyways, this whole situation with Libya is out of control. I'm actually not 100% sure of where I stand in regard to whether we should be over there given that I like the idea of freedom and democracy but I also think it should be the only one shouldering this burden. Even more important, and most frustrating, is the outright hypocrisy that oozes from the members of the current administration.

Here is an article I ran across yesterday that I felt concisely sums up Obama's lack of integrity and morals...

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM…

It essentially outlines some of the assertions he made during his address to the nation on Monday and just how far off from the truth it is (not that anyone expected different). Obama makes my skin crawl. I can find nothing positive to say about him other than we are more than half way there!! He has lied from day one about countless things and because of the liberal media he walks away scot-free, never being called out on the carpet for his antics.

Charles Krauthammer, who I think is exceptionally intelligent and well spoken, recently wrote an article that concisely points out some of the general issues that Obama has, but more specifically as they relate to the current situation in Libya.

I truly believe Obama will have a spot reserved for him in the presidential hall of fame. Besides being the most un-American president this country has ever had and he has done virtually nothing (positively) noteworthy thus far. He bows to foreign leaders/dignitaries, apologizes for America's "mistakes" and drags the country into a military operation without Congressional approval and without any clear cut outcome (despite preciously stating how it's unconstitutional) then attempts to minimize the situation by diminishing the US's involvement and claiming others are in charge. This guy is such a freakin' joke.

I have concerns about President Obama, namely his ability to guide the economy long term (I think he is becoming overzealous with regulations and I question whether he has the political capital to start tackling debt creating entitlement programs in a serious way), but his integrity and morals are two things I most certainly do not question. In fact, I'd say he has some of the highest quality integrity and morals of any of our Presidents since Kennedy and Eisenhower.

Just for clarification are these the ways you would define "integrity" and "moral"?

If so, please read the links I provided and see that they explicitly point out (the most recent examples of) Obama's fraudulent and disingenuous nature.

Please feel free to list any/all the promises Obama has kept since campaigning for his current position.

Well he promised change -_- Just look at the size of our deficit. We have changed.

Epstein is the man, seriously. He's probably on my Top 3 Most Intelligent Libertarians list. Not that anyone should care about my list, haha, but I truly think that highly of him. He writes an op-ed for Forbes and has plenty of videos on youtube, so check him out.

If your benchmark for integrity and morals is keeping campaign promises, then Obama should be rated highly in your book:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/

Keeping 134 and breaking 40 is pretty good for a politician.

You have a rather low standard for gathering information...

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/02/10/selection-bias-at-politifact/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign… (just search for "St. Petersburg Times"

You should also take the time to look at the list of "Promises Kept". I was seriously going to go through and pick out a few of the individual ones that were actually the same thing...like several that had to do with abused women, there were several all related to the draw down in Iraq (So our boys are coming home?? No? Just next door?) and several more all related to the VA (which I actually support).

That's not to even mention the flat out silly ones like...

Appoint a special adviser to the president on violence against women Give a speech at a major Islamic forum in the first 100 days of his administration Appoint a White House Coordinator for Nuclear Security Improve relations with Turkey, and its relations with Iraqi Kurds Grant Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send money to Cuba Release presidential records (laughable coming from the guy who buried his college transcripts/etc.) Require new hires to sign a form affirming their hiring was not due to political affiliation or contributions. Encourage water-conservation efforts in the West Encourage farmers to use more renewable energy and be more energy efficient Create a White House Office on Urban Policy Create an artist corps for schools Add another Space Shuttle flight Promote cultural diplomacy Allocate Homeland Security funding according to risk Champion the importance of arts education Work with international allies on space station Partner to enhance the potential of the International Space Station Use the International Space Station for fundamental biological and physical research Explore whether International Space Station can operate after 2016 Conduct robust research and development on future space missions Increase spending to prepare for longer space missions Enhance earth mapping Appoint an assistant to the president for science and technology policy Bolster the military's ability to speak different languages Appoint the nation's first Chief Technology Officer Create a national declassification center Appoint an American Indian policy adviser Create new financial regulations Raise fuel economy standards Invest in all types of alternative energy Ask people and businesses to conserve electricity Will seek more accommodations of bicycles and pedestrians Appoint at least one Republican to the cabinet

ohh, and...

Get his daughters a puppy

That's the shit they are counting. What a joke.
