The Number 2 School for Graduating CEOs (it's not Harvard, MIT, or Wharton)
The number 2 school for graduating CEOs is Penn State. Who else is surprised?
The list:
- Stanford
- Penn State
- Harvard Business School
- Cal Berkeley
- MIT
- Stanford Business School
- Harvard
- INSEAD
- Wharton
- Northwestern, Kellogg School of Management
I think it's funny that undergrad Stanford makes more CEO's than their MBA school, but it is reversed for Harvard. Makes sense knowing both their dynamics, but still pretty interesting.
I've heard Penn State has an amazing alumni network and a great comp sci program, so it would make sense that they direct undergrads to use their computer wizardry to start companies.
LinkedIn did the study with 12,000 companies greater than 50 people, I wonder what the charts look like for just the F500. There'd probably be a higher skew for more prestigious schools.
Yeah, exactly.
