Yup. Belfort ran the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont investments, a notorious boiler room. He was a stockbroker despite having a few major IPOs under his belt.
This sounds like a shitshow. I crossed paths with Belfort and the Stratton Oakmont crew in '94, and I'm here to tell you there was nothing there that was film-worthy (or hasn't already been done in Boiler Room). Stockbrokers were godlike and did mountains of blow 20 years ago. How do you make that a 2-hour movie?

they should get that writer too rewrite also. they should get the whole crew actually. everyone to work on this.
Shia's early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Disturbia came out in '07, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole transformers trilogy has a clear, crisp look, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives his acting a big boost. He's been compared to brando, but I think shia has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of method acting.
Bravo sir, bravo... and might I add that while blastoise is often lauded as a troll in a league all his own, you have stayed true to your roots, not pulling any unnecessary punches in your efforts to satirize for the masses. An SB for you.

Connor, you were missing the referential point here. I was referring to a movie based on Eddie. Yeah, there is no way in hell Michael Bay could direct a movie like The Wolf of Wall Street.
Michael Bay's Wolf of Wall Street would have arctic wolves transforming into Shia LaBouf, and Cuba Gooding Jr making a cameo as Shia's father, after which they both explode out of frustration that they cannot ride a motorcycle with a hedge-fund manager.
The sequel would be WS: Wolves Never Sleep.
