Thinking of a post-grad -in dilemma !

Hello guys,

I've been thinking about going back to uni in this year to pursue a post-grad. I was retrenched back in Oct last year and have since been preparing for GMAT/GRE.

I have approx 4.5 years of work experience in banking. I've been thinking about an MBA although considering the large amount of tuition, I've been thinking of a relatively cheaper Masters either in finance/accounting or economics. My undergraduate major was Accounting, however, I am unsure whether MS accounting would be worth spending money on. I wish to get a relatively good paying (anywhere from $85-$100k) job post-graduation and seek some career advancement (hence the reason to pursue a masters).

I needed some views on whether MS Accounting would be worth the time and money as searching through the internet I get a feeling that MS Accounting is primarily for those wanting to become CPAs as it helps them get the number of hours required. Beyond that it has no value ?

Experienced commentary is all appreciated.

Cheers
