Incredible firm. I read at some point that they never lost money on an investment. Very intensive on diligence and focused on pedigree (GS/MS and MBB). Probably more bankers than consultants but a fair mix of both. They recently announced that they would be raising a $20B fund (I'm sure they will clear that as their returns speak for themselves). Bit of a sink or swim mentality but a great place to start your career from a learning standpoint.

They tend to make larger, more concentrated bets. I've heard people liken them to a long-only HF

I don't have inside information but based on LinkedIn snooping, they seem to be one of the few shops that can actually place everyone into HBS/GSB. Obviously some may not get in and then go down a different career path but I haven't come across any of the associates going to W. Open to being corrected...
