Three Days to Prepare for Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking Interview
I am a third-year Econ major at a low-target and was told I'd missed all recruiting opportunities for banking at my school, as I didn't recruit sophomore spring. I only became seriously interested in finance a few months back, and I felt like I'd totally missed my shot.
As it turns out Wells Fargo recruits for Middle Market banking Junior spring, which I just found out about two weeks ago. I landed a first round interview; however, I only have three days to prepare. My technical background is limited to one financial accounting class and one read through "Investment Banking for Dummies" as of now. I am not expecting a miracle here, but I figure I may as well try to learn as much as I can before the interview and shoot my shot.
Basically, my question is given my limited time where should I direct my preparation time. What do I ABSOLUTELY need to know? My analytical abilities are solid, I just need to know what I need to force into my brain between now and then.
And yes I know I'm a fuck for not preparing months ago even though I didn't think I had a chance of getting an interview and having to ask this question.

From what I remember, the Wells interviews weren't all that technical. You'll need to know the basics like DCF modeling, connectivity of financial statements, duration / convexity, etc.
Wells is an interesting mix. I interviewed with a VP (at the time) who was an active Navy Seal and still went on missions a few months out of the year. Very cool experience.
Good luck!
