on Thrive — it’s a newer firm led by Josh Kushner (brother of Jared Kushner). They’ve done some high profile deals like Instagram, Robinhood, Affirm, Lemonade, Opendoor, and Compass.
I agree with this. GC is much stronger than Thrive. Also get the impression that GC promotes more from within, whereas junior folks at Thrive all leave after a couple years.

Imo these are in completely different tiers.
General Catalyst is a tier 1 VC, not sure what Thrive is but have heard the name somewhere.
VC comp has a higher standard deviation firm to firm but shouldn’t be much lower than BB IB

Thrive is very very good. If you got a job there it would be silly not to take it.
