Tiger Global
Just curious if anyone knows anyone junior at Tiger Global (Chase Coleman) - someone who is maybe post an i-banking analyst program or around there. Just curious about culture/general experience. Would prefer this not turn into a typical how awesome Tiger/Chase/Julian thread is etc. - just want to learn a bit more.
Thanks in advance.
I think they have a pretty small team. Not really sure that they would hire some one without prior HF or buyside experience. Here is some more backgroun info on Tiger Global.

Good luck!
Got it thanks! Any other input would be great.

Any thoughts on working for this hedge fund at a junior level
What is there to think about? Chase Coleman is one of the most successful managers in the game -- and he was trained directly by Julian. Tiger Global only has about 17 analysts, so if you were to get a spot on that roster, I think it is a no-brainer.
Unless you're choosing between this, Quantum, KKR and Carlyle, I don't see why you even think twice about this decision
Agree that the firm is well thought of. But how about culture, hours, pay? How does it compare to maverick or SAC Capital?

....i know nothing about maverick but the culture at Tiger is gonna be better then SAC. SAC is a seriously cut-throat place, Tiger much less so.
isnt maverick a tiger cub fund? One of the traders at the firm I did my SA at had money in Maverick. Thought he told me it was a tiger cub fund.

anyone know the background of some of the people working there? Are they from equity research? IBD? What firms?
M&A, PE and consulting.
Are you talking about Tiger Global? Who there worked in any of those fields?
PMed you names and backgrounds.
