Time Off Between Jobs?
Question for all of you 2nd year bankers that are transitioning to new jobs this summer:
How much time off are you given between jobs and what are you planning on doing with it? For those who are still unsure as to what you are doing next, when is your last day?
I've got about two weeks. It's already set in stone, but I am curious as to whether or not it is market.
Thanks.
The range I've seen is typically 3-6 weeks; 2 weeks is definitely short.
A few of my second year friends have had their start days pushed back significantly and will have up to six months of time off. The one who doesn't start until Jan is going to be working on the corporate side until then in a consultant role. 2 weeks sounds very short, but at least those paychecks will keep coming...
