Partners Group 2020
I can't find anything on Partners Group. They have about $93bn AUM. Has anyone got any insights on deal flow, culture, exits and what kind of analyst they have.
Thanks lads

There's a thread on your latter point. Partners Group Analyst Thread
Good deal flow, large fund
Good deal flow, large fund, good work life balance, pay under market.
Heard base was recently bumped to market. Can you comment on the bonus?
Believe pay is severely undermarket and associates are extremely overworked....can't speak to analysts though
First year associates are paid up to 210 all in with 30-40 of that being stock that has a 3 year vest. Lots of 1-3 years of work experience laterals are hired in as analysts though which skews comp downwards.
Bump.
This PE or AM?
PE
Large deal flow for PE directs. Overworked juniors, pay is better I heard.
Deal flow has been ramping up. US team for PE has had a couple big transactions recently.
Are they mostly direct or secondaries? Can anyone speak on their secondaries/co-investments side of the business?

I believe Partners Group is publicly listed so you can get a bunch of top down information from their investor presentations:

Heard the culture at Partners Group and EQT is good. Comp good too.
Believe they are winding down their RE business at least in Europe from a close contact I have who works there in London. Person had a good experience overall and said lots of camaraderie encouraged thru plenty of team events etc pre-covid.
They aren't winding it down but there is a changing of the guard. They made a couple of really recent hires, parted ways with the former European head, and moved one of the Asia heads to Europe.
Ah I see. Thanks for the correction.
Had a friend who worked there post MBA. Quite hierarchical org structure, very painful IC process (word format, process oriented) and Zug is apparently mindlessly boring. Good for a stable job as they have a massive AUM and a variety of rotational programmes across assets. Maybe best for late 30s/40s rather than for the Analyst programme.
This must be dated. The IC memos are definitely on PPT. I think the Analyst program is really good if you want broad exposure in investing. Never been to Switzerland, but seems great if you like the outdoors.
IC Memos are still in word as of today for all teams.
