Tony Stewart Hit and Kills Another Driver

... and is still racing today. Here is the video: http://deadspin.com/reports-tony-stewart-ran-over-opposing-driver-durin…

I don't care about racing, at all, but considering Tony's one of the best few drivers in the world and many of the eye witnesses said he gunned his engine at the end to fishtail the car I have no doubt that he attempted to get close to him and maybe even hit him. I'd expect charges to be filed. Crazy stuff.

Don't know anything about these guys and their racing besides watching the video, but why the hell did he get out of his car and stand on the track? Although it did look like he was intentionally hit. Not a good move by either party IMO.

DickFuld:

"This is an ongoing investigation of an on-track crash," Povero said.
Povero indicated Stewart, 43, was ''fully cooperative'' and that the incident is not being investigated as a criminal matter. -- USA Today

Ya, he likely won't go to jail. Doesn't mean he deserves to get off. But he'll end up paying 10m to the family and skating.

And EUGTR - It was dumb of him, but it's actually not THAT uncommon for an angry driver to do that in sprint cup. The assumption is that these are world class drivers and that they can handle their cars. Also that they aren't insane assholes like Tony Stewart is. Whoops.
