I received an MBA from USC in 2012. However, for the past 10 years I've been working in public accounting, tax specifically and I'm just not able to get up enthusiasm for the job anymore.
Is it even possible to use my MBA to get into a large company now? Having graduated over 5 years ago?
I'm 38 years old and feel like I'm too old to start a leadership development program even if I could get accepted into one. Thoughts?

I don't see how 10 years of Acctg Experience + MBA could be a hindrance. Why start from the bottom at 38, though? You should be able to lateral into some decent corporate finance or treasury jobs at Senior Manager level or above.
That would be awesome if I could make it happen. However, I'm not sure public accounting experience would translate to those roles. Although I could be wrong.
How can I locate a good headhunter for making such a move?
