Top 10 target v Harvard w/ Gap Year

Hi, I was recently admitted off the Harvard waitlist for the class of 2022. I have already placed my deposit at a top 10 target (think Penn/Dartmouth/Duke). I am not very eager to undergo a gap year, and I like the atmosphere of my current school better. My question is this: is Harvard materially better for heading into Wall Street than another target, to the point where it would outweigh these other factors?

Thanks!

I wouldn't discount the value of taking a gap year. Overall it won't make a huge difference in your life starting college one year later, and a gap year gives you the opportunity to do something you'll probably never have the time to otherwise do. From what I've seen, people who do gap years end up coming into college much more prepared and are less likely to end up screwing up their first semester. With that said, if you're really opposed to the idea of starting late and don't see Harvard to be worth it, then I'm sure you'll be fine at whatever school you've placed your deposit at already.

If you have the opportunity and funds, a year of travel or internship followed by Harvard is pretty much the best case scenario for anyone leaving high school. A year "late" is so irrelevant in the long run.
