top ivy or scholarship in lower tier?
what would look better on a resume with regard to mbb recruiting? "regular" top tier mba such as hbs/wharton/tuck/mit, or a top scholarship recipient at a lower tier such as tepper/kenan/darden? i haven't even applied yet and don't know if i could get to that status, but humor me.
I think the name of your school at the top of the resume will have more of an impact than the scholarship. However, getting a scholarship and not having to pay has its benefits obviously.
Definitely more MBB opportunities from top tier schools, but also more competition. The networks from these schools are also extremely powerful. I wouldn't underestimate that value of that brand if you're thinking finance or strategy consulting.
Debt totally sucks however, so if you end up with a full ride and go that route, you will need to network even more to open the MBB doors.

If you land an internship with most major consulting firms and decide to go back for FT, I believe they pay for the tuition. Probably want to confirm, but if MBB is the end goal, why not be safe with that option.
