Top London Asset Management Firms

Hi,

I am currently completing my undergrad studies and am interested in a career in Asset Management. I have read a lot about the top asset management firms in the US such as Wellington or Ruane, Cunniff, & Goldfarb which have a great culture and provide a better lifestyle than some of the larger firms like BlackRock and yet provide decent pay and good career advancement opportunities.

However, since I am based in the UK, I was wondering which Asset Management Firms are the best to work at in London from an all-round perspective (pay, culture, lifestyle etc.), similar to the above listed firms in the US.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Not sure about the others, but Wellington has a London office that they constantly post positions for on their website.

Nice post, let's try to keep it active.

M&G Investments: mostly fixed income shop based in the City.. extremely strong in corporate bonds (google Richard Woolnough...) and in illiquid credit and private debt in general (http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/files/2014_pdi_30_-_private_debt_investo… ranking and profile). In equities there is the infamous Recovery Fund run by Tom Dobell, which is struggling in the last years after decades of massive overperformance. Hires 6-8 grads a year through their graduate scheme.
