Top UBS S&T Desks?
I'm about to start my sales and trading summer internship at UBS. The program is rotational - must have one rotation on equities and one on the fixed income side. Looking for any advice as to which desks are the top performers at UBS. Also wondering which ones are the least likely to be effected by quant trading in the future.

Seeing as how they pretty much killed all of their trading in the US i'm surprised they still did summer internships. Avoid cash equities as its low margin and most banks keep cutting down on those spots. A few friends of mine do equity derivatives at some other Swiss banks and they tend to be pretty strong that area. I haven't heard much in terms of fixed income trading @ UBS although you should know that they cut a HUGE portion of their lev fin team which means a large chunk of trading generated through credit underwriting will be gone. Still a great place to learn and a brand name, but I wouldn't set your sights on making a career there.
If the OP is starting his internship in early 2013 above may be somewhat accurate. Less so in mid-2016.
FX is Top 3. Equities is strong across the board, but equity derivatives is actually a tad weaker. FICC is small but they are decent at what they still do. Want to be on any CHF related desk. Inflation desk is also good.
Tend to be strongest in Asia, then Europe, then US.
They are top 4 in currency and they recently have been hiring in fixed income in the Americas. London is cutting but they seem to be beefing up trading presence in the Americas.
