TPG PE - Business Unit Finance opportunity question
Hello! I was recently forwarded information on an opportunity at TPG, and it's described as follows: "An Analyst in the Two-Year Program will focus primarily on performing analytics, financial reporting and accounting associated with Business Unit (BU) Finance, which supports the TPG private equity fund platforms."
Does anyone know what the "business unit" finance entails? I have a finance/accounting offer (not IB), but ultimately, I do want to work in PE. Any thoughts on this?
Hey DFriesen, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:

Bump, would be very curious if anyone has any input on this.
Extremely hard to get into private equity without investment banking or in some cases consulting experience. Would take whichever offer is more likely to get you into an IB/consulting seat, whether through MBA or directly. Think making a bet on going from FP&A role at TPG into PE at TPG is extremely long odds.
