Is it ok to trade ETFs such as QQQ, DIA, SPY without approval from my compliance department? I currently work as a commodities sales analyst at an investment bank. I know for single company names, most banks require you to report when you buy and sell, and to hold for at least 30 days. Any insight on the types of investments one could buy without the 30 day holding period or approval would be greatly appreciated.
