trading internships at non-NY BB offices

What up monkeys,

I'm a sophomore at a non-ivy target, and I'm looking to get into trading. I have a BB PWM internship from last summer and a couple connects with a pretty solid (not totally spectacular, but I'm confident It'll get interviews as a junior) resume. I'm wondering if I have a chance at getting a SA spot this year. Is S+T easier to get than IB? If it's just as competitive at BB's I'm gonna have to start looking at smaller shops and other options.

Also, do non-NY BB offices have summer analyst programs? I'm in Boston/Chicago/SF so my networking is more valuable here and I'd actually prefer to spend a summer here before I move away.

Thanks in advance, I'd appreciate any of your advice.

Regional in the US? Most non-NY offices are small and I wouldn't expect most of them to have formal SA opportunities. The major exception might be Energy trading in Texas.
