Transfer from CMU for IB as Freshman

I'd be very thankful if anyone could shed some light on the transfer process to the super competitive target schools. I'd want to be around more individuals interested in IB/finance in general. Where would be worth transferring to -- HYPW etc?

Graduated high school in 3 and intended on graduating college in 3 as well? And now you're thinking of transferring after maybe 2-3 weeks of classes? You said the problem yourself, you rushed into things. Give yourself time to both personally and professionally mature, talk to more people, lean on older students with experience, and certainly don't decide to transfer after a week or two of classes. Over at least a semester, figure out if your issue with CMU is cultural or professional and then decide accordingly.

This is exactly the problem accelerated recruiting is causing. Your post suggests strong basic understanding of finance but there's clearly a lot of polish to be gained in understanding specific paths. Slow down. What you want out of your college experience is just as important as the career you want out of college. Build relationships, do some things outside of finance, learn completely new skills. Personal development is also key.
