Transfer pricing internship to?

Hi everyone, it's my first time to use this forum. Kind of nervous

I am a senior student in Shanghai, and my major has nothing to do with finance, unfortunately. I've been doing a transfer pricing internship at Baker McKenzie for nine months, and I am going to quit this internship in July when the busy season ends. Then I will go to SAIS (JHU) in DC to continue my graduate study. My program is the two-year MA program with two concentrations, one on international economics and the other on regional studies or international relations.

My problem is about my future summer internship. Though transfer pricing is a pretty interesting field and has taught me quite a lot, I don't really plan to choose TP as my future career. In fact I am more interested in macro analysis (yes I know it's not easy...) than in taxation.

So...Can my TP experience and perhaps the brand of JHU be helpful in terms of getting an ideal summer internship? My intuition tells me that it's almost impossible to go to macro analysis in my first summer. So I am wondering whether it is practical to get a corporate finance internship in the first year and then try to shift to macro analysis in the second year.

If it turns out that my most realistic choice is still TP, does anyone know any firm good at TP? I know big 4 have TP services, but I want to try something higher since I will soon have been doing TP for a whole year.

I know the information here is not detailed enough to make a very deep analysis. I just want to hear some general suggestions and to know whether it sounds really difficult to shift to macro analysis.

Thanks a lot!
