Transparency with Headhunters
Recently had an interview with a fairly well-known Enterprise VC. I received the interview through a traditional headhunter (e.g., Amity, Glocap, Oxbridge, etc.). This was my first interaction with a headhunter and wanted to make a good impression coming from a non-IB/MBB background.
I'm not extremely interested in Enterprise (developer tools, infrastructure, etc.) and think the background is a little off (they should be looking for a more technical candidate).
Should I be communicating these doubts to the HH? I want to leave a good impression, and receive more opportunities in the future, On the other hand, I'm happy to learn more about Enterprise if I were to get the offer.
Currently, in a weird mindset and would appreciate any thoughts regarding the HH process.
