Two Summer "IB" Internships

Sophmore here. Two remote IB part-time internships. Signed with one firm saying that I won't do another internship that directly relates to the business of the company or would conflict with my obligations. That firm is a specialized boutique, where I will be performing varied roles (No real allusion to the businesses of the second firm detailed --> ). The other firm is an IB shop where I will essentially just be researching potential companies for PE firms to acquire. I don't really see an overlap or a real conflict of interest. Two part-time remote gigs with different daily tasks operating in different parts of the country. Not planning on spreading this around for updating my linkedin for a while though to be safe. Any thoughts on risk?

while to you it might seem "safe" to do this, don't. the risks outweigh the rewards and it won't give you a materially better experience, both work and resume wise.

My thoughts as someone who did a summer IB internship for sophomore summer and has had ~5 superdays (with an offer):

Quality > Quantity.

The most you will ever get asked about one of your internships is "describe what you did there" or "tell me about a deal you worked on." And this is a two minute answer, maximum. There's no marginal benefit for spreading yourself thin and not being able to answer competently to this question.

I would consider doing it ONLY if you have no experience freshman summer and have a gap on your resume.
