UBC Sauder vs Umich LSA Economics
Looking to get into IB. Not 100% sure I'm into Investment Banking, but I'm confident I want a high paying finance job right after undergrad. I didn't get into Ross at UMich and I believe their new policy states you can't transfer once you've been rejected as a pre-admit. My parents will be paying for my tuition and I'm a Canadian domestic student. Should I spend 2 years at UMich LSA and try to transfer into another b-school? Or just stick with UBC?
I would go to UBC in this case. No guarantees in transferring and plenty of UBC Sauder students get jobs in "high finance".
What do people think of attending LSA for a year or 2 then seeking a transfer into a more prestigious business school? Or should I just stick with UBC Sauder? Would really appreciate some input.

UBC Sauder for 2 years, try and get into PMF. If you don't get into PMF, transfer to Ivey unless you want to work in Vancouver.
You can't reapply once you get rejected? That's crazy, I'm honestly very surprised they'd do something like this.
If they still take only ~30% of their class through pre-admit, then they're definitely reducing the pool of qualified applicants by not allowing them to re-apply.
