UBS FIG (US)
Could someone please shed light on this group’s reputation? I know it is one of the bank’s stronger groups behind TMT, but how do they perform in comparison to others?

Career Resources
Top groups are industrials and tmt revenue wise. LevFin/FinSpon is strong and C/R has the potential to grow into a top group with a lot of MD hirings lately (tmt has made a lot of MD hirings over the last couple of years as well). In terms of FIG, the people I met in the group are very nice. They admit that the group works a lot (as like any other FIG team). They also have a FIG DCM team within the group. As far as I know, it is not a top group at UBS, however, it is a group within a solid bank so you'll have a great experience either way
Anyone have insight on the group culture?

Will echo the poster above that it's not one of the stronger groups. Definitely weaker than industrials, TMT, CP&R, lev fin.
The people are generally nice though.
Not sure what this debate is about but FIG as of the last few years significantly revamped... I would argue it’s is one of the top behind or on par with levfin. Industrials at UBS is not too strong and neither has TMT been for a while. FIG Spac and fintech practices are churning out huge deals (pershing, etc).
Fig is hiring a few analysts. They’ve been crushed since spac deal flow has been insane this year. UBS crushed WM so all the spacs want that base as potential capital lol
