Rothschild vs UBS SA
hey guys I'm trying to decide between these two places. This summer I want a solid M&A/Technical experience in preferably a generalist, natres, or TMT group. I was wondering which place u guys think is the best place to summer at and potentially leverage the offer to an EB/BB for full time? I consider Roth an EB but it's not Evercore, Greenhill, Moelis, Lazard level in the US yet for M&A.
UBS
@"chiliboy" Any particular reason? Is this based on experience or observation?
Talked with a few people at UBS. Although their IBD is shrinking and many MDs left, they still have solid deal flow. Also, because UBS is still a BB, it brings advantage for your exit opp later.
.
Would go Rothschild based on sentiments from friends and trajectories of banks - really depends on what you want in terms of groups/culture though. Rothschild is obviously smaller in terms of headcount so take that into consideration... exit ops are pretty similar

Which is better for a summer internship? Please share your thoughts.
In the US*
I'd go with UBS since it's just an internship, but Rothschild has been killing it in the league tables lately.
UBS
what group at Rothschild?
US or UK? Which product group at UBS? Which team at Rothschild?
Rothschild. Save your anus from Ultimate ButtSecks.
Rotschild that shithole hahahaha
I'd say Rothschild - they've got a great RX practice and a decent M&A practice.
both are great choices. i like them both better than U.S. firms
Rothschild
