UBS Restructuring Job?
Does anyone know anything about this job posting from UBS? I don't think they have opened full time analyst applications yet, and I also know that most BB's don't have traditional RX groups due to issues with being a lender, but it sounds legitimate. The posting does mention it is "a new focused client effort"

Are you solution oriented? Do you always have an eye toward improving processes? We’re looking for someone like that who can help us:

Your team
As an Analyst, you’ll be focusing on Restructuring within our M&A team based in New York City. The team will work across all industries on advisory assignments which include restructuring, distressed M+A, debt and equity capital raising, amendments, exchange offers and more for financially distressed companies. Additionally, the team will seek to represent companies, creditors, owners and other key stakeholders in restructuring transactions for public and private companies, both out of court and in bankruptcy.
Your experience and skills
You have:
– a degree in a finance related field
– some experience in restructuring and/or leveraged finance, ideally
– solid analytical and quantitative skills
Yea they hired a big shot out of Evercore RX and he is apparently on a mandate to build out the team aggressively
I think I found him, Lloyd Sprung is his name, pretty solid banking/education background. Any idea how many analysts they're would fit into a new team like this? It doesn't read as if laterals are their goal.
Anymore insight on this? How would the RX group sit at a BB like this. I found the dudes name thanks to the post above (sb'ed) but curious to see if theres a bit more info before I shoot some emails.
I think UBS doesn't lend so there is no conflict. I think they are still doing their "capital light" approach. Curious if anyone at UBS can confirm. If it's true that they don't lend, they will be only BB with a legit RX practice.
