UBS Sophomore Symposium 3-day immersion expectations
Has anyone ever done this program before? It is a three day immersion at their offices in NY, NY and Stamford, CT and I am just wondering what to expect

What is your major? Are you at a nontarget or a target? Did you have previous work experience? I'm trying to get a feel for what type of students UBS selects for this program.
Cannot comment on this, but am interested to hear what others have to say. If you dont mind me asking, what were your stats when applying? Thanks, I appreciate it.
I did it last year. It's basically just three days of lectures, panel discussions, and networking-style events with most of the divisions they have in those offices (IBD, S&T, ER, AM, Operations, Tech, etc...)
my friend did this and his parents are big time clients of UBS

I hate to make another of these but I have a really dumb question. Maybe someone who's attended this before can help out. Did you just show up with your luggage on the first day? I see on the itinerary it says we have a half-day in the afternoon at the NY office followed by a train up to Stamford for the next two days. Am I just supposed to roll in with a carry-on into their lobby? Seems weird.
I'm attending and thought about this as well. I actually asked them about leaving a bag somewhere when I arrive it and just received a vague response saying they cannot be responsible for anyone's belongings. I would think they would have a place set up for us to leave that stuff during the day in NYC before collecting it in the evening and heading out to Stamford though.
Right? I'm doing another one of these programs with another bank and they gave me some concrete information, where and when to check in and how to handle my baggage while I'm going through the program.
Nothing from UBS so far. Seems pretty chintzy to just waltz into a BB office with a bag.
