Not sure what you meant by that. Global head of TMT & most tech MDs sit in SF. The TMT group in NYC is mostly M&T

How strong is UBS tech team (SF)? What kind of deals do they mostly do?

Any updates? How would you rank the following groups? GIG, TMT, CP&R, M&A, healthcare. Looking for good deal flow but also good culture. Heard GIG has good deal flow but not necessarily the best culture.

GIG is hell. Global Head sits in NY and is CRAZY. I admired him while I was there but too sweaty. TMT is not good anymore after team was poached. M&A sweaty as well and they work 5x what GS people work per closed deal. Probably FS… Peers got good exit opportunities.

Hard to pinpoint a single super dominant team compared to the competitors on the street. FIG still seems to be dominated by American BBs due to regulatory environments, TMT team went to SVB, GIG (industrials is probably still fine, although a close friend just left and frankly said they're more so a middle of the pack firm), healthcare hasn't done anything major in years since CVS-Express scripts and mainly focuses on services rather than biotech which is the big money maker (we're looking at you CVP). If I were in your position I would probably try for financial sponsors and leveraged finance. The saving grace of UBS may be it's swiss balance sheet and immunity to strict FED stress tests. When you need cheap financing on junk bonds, call RBC, the swiss, and the japanese.

Is FSLF worth it even if you don't want to do PE? How is WLB? I thought industrials and TMT were top groups?
