UChicago for investment banking?

How does UChicago (undergrad, economics major) currently compare with top undergrads such as Ivies and Duke for job placement on the Street? I'm a high school senior hoping to get into HYP, but I don't think it's likely. However, I have a UChicago connection who says I have a great shot at getting into UChicago as long as I apply early decision (binding). So could anyone give me some feedback on UChicago vs. Ivy/Duke's recruiting? UChicago has been on the rise, for at least the last five years it's been tied for spot #2 or #3 with Stanford, Yale and Columbia by USNEWS. But I don't know if that has influenced recruitment. Older WSO threads said only JPM and CS recruited hard, is that still true?
Thank you.

Chicago is one of the greatest institutions in the world. The Econ concentration + people I met at the University changed my life and shot me on an upward trajectory that I never imagined out of high school. You will not, I guarantee you, get a better education or more rigorous academic experience at any other institution. IBD opportunities will be slightly better at HYPSW but U of C is still a target for all firms. U of C has a tight group of alums that are senior members of BBs and they take care of you and the school. Certainly not as many as HYPSW, but a material amount that makes recruiting and placement at U of C very, very good.
