UG Internship at Agency Lender

I'll be a starting as summer analyst at a top agency lender (Berkadia, Walker and Dunlop, Greystone etc.) within the next couple weeks. I'm a rising senior and hope to get an full time offer for next year. Any insights on how to impress are very welcomed. Any tips on how to get the most out of the internship?

I'm guessing you'll be learning how to structure debt, so make sure to ask a lot of questions. Really get to understand the types of products that the agencies offer and the implications of each. It's helpful to know the multiple types of debt available (Agency, CMBS, etc.) and what products are appropriate for a buyer seeking financing.

Hopefully you're really interested in this industry and this turns into something you like. When I was interning, I spent a good amount of time independently researching so I wouldn't be caught off guard. Ended up getting a good offer, so keep your head down and work hard to stand out from the other interns that goof around.

Hope this helps!
