Ugliest College Campuses

Title says it all... what do you think? I've never been to many college campuses, so I can't comment... and try to keep it about relatively well known schools, I think we all know that Southwest Detroit Community College's campus is pretty shitty

Howard University. Is the barbed wire supposed to keep the students in - or the locals out?

Sound so smart like you graduated college Like you went to Yale but you probably went to Howard

University of Virgina.

This is just retarded.

You're born, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake, son.

Look at the username. UVA is a nice campus. I actually thought VA Tech was ugly when my college team played there.

As far as NYU goes, when I transferred I thought I would attend there, but then I hated the way it's set up with no campus and decided to go back to my midwest roots.

Congrats on your volleyball victory. BTW, you must be real proud of your school--you don't list the sport or the school. "Yeah, I went to a random school in the southeast United States and we won and your campus sucks."

Frankly, put up or shut up.

lol why u so mad?

Put up or shut up? I don't say where I played at because i've outed a lot of personal information about myself already and that would narrow it down conclusively. Also, why do you think it was volleyball? It's not like VT is good at any major sport.

Can only comment on Midwest and Big Ten schools, but one of my least favorite colleges campuses is definitely University of Michigan. There is no beauty anywhere on that campus. 1. You can't even call that cluster of city and campus a true college campus. What's with the north, center and south campus? 2. Its mixed in with the center of Ann Arbor, which is arguably one of the most run down cities in Michigan(not that parts of aa aren't nice, just not by uofm)

Since I know there are a some UofM people who may not like my comment I will concede a few things. The law building adds some beauty, aside from that....not much They are doing much needed improvement to their athletic facilities(big house is amazing, Chrysler arena is garbage, do you actually consider that a hockey arena?)

they fixed up Chrysler this year, the inside's all new... and yeah, the division of campus' is kinda frustrating. Is AA really that run down though? lol. I've been to much worse in Michigan

When you're from the west side of the state(GR and summers in leelanau/traverse area), yes AA isn't too nice but I can see how Detroit and Flint can make AA look like nice. Honestly, if I didn't care about getting a job I would've definitely considered GVSU(beautiful campus), but I didn't want a no name degree...

AA run down? What? It's Crisler Arena, and that's where the bball team plays, not the hockey team. And UofM campus>most other Midwest campuses.

And most of A&M's campus is pretty ugly. Every building is the exact same color and was built like 50 years ago.

Yale. Where is the campus?
Are you fuckin serious?

Yes. 100% where does the ghetto start and where does the campus start...

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

There are times when I wish it was a more campusy campus, but I suppose that's what north campus is for... besides, having a school surrounded by bars, restaurants, and headshops isn't too bad either

Yeah, you're right, football isn't a major sport. Moron.
Football is definitely a major sport but, apparently, our definitions of being good at something are different.

18 straight bowl appearances, 7 straight 10-win seasons, 4 ACC championships since joining the league. yeah, that sucks bro.

Berkeley. I was planning on going there, got accepted, and after I went for Cal Day, I decided not to go. It was very gloomy and creepy, smelled funny, and had bums everywhere.

It was also on the news that they had exams the week before and two students committed suicide from jumping off the buildings.

Can't argue with a VT fan about football. They are convinced they're a top echelon team, and nothing can convince them otherwise. Not even worth trying.

You ask a VT fan about their program and they will tell you with a straight face that their program is in the same league as an LSU, Bama, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida. Unbelievable.

I'm pretty amazed that anyone thinks UMich has an ugly campus. I'm biased, but I've been all over the country and I think it's a pretty quintessential college town / classic big university campus. It's not Stanford, Pepperdine, UC San Diego, etc. But it definitely has that majestic old university feel. I guess to each his own.

Your local JC? But seriously, its hard to top this school in Texas that sits right next to a super max prision. Drove by it one day and thought "Wow why didnt they put a fence around the whole prision?" then I saw the sign.....
