UK proposes all paychecks go through government vetting process before sent to employees

I find this hard to believe but I guess its similar to having payroll taxes deducted. Still seems a bit over the top.

Typical,

government trying to micro manage people's lives and ensure that every cent that is owed to them is collected. Also, allows them to monitor and keep track of people's pay and makes it that much easier to withhold it when they want to. Think about in the next financial crisis, they could withhold banker's (or anyone else's) pay while they "legally sort out" whether they deserve it or not.

Hopefully, the logistics and costs will stop this from happening, but when has that ever stopped a government.....

"Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, for knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA."

this is definitely coming from the lib dem side of the coalition. bloody lib dems.
