Undergrad Business Schools Advice

Son has to decide by month end between the following:

Notre Dame Mendoza
Georgetown McDonough
WashU Olin
Rice - 1/2 merit scholarship
Fordham - full ride
Emory Goizueta

Rejected to Wharton; Waitlisted at JHU, Dartmouth and Cornell Dyson AEM

Any advice welcomed (luckily cost is secondary).

The waitlist may be hard to get off. I would try Georgetown and Rice if your son has any thoughts on transfering

Cornell has the sophomore transfer, since you're in waitlist, it may be nice to ask

They're sort of peer schools, and a half ride on his resume would be signaling a better-than-avg prof within the school

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm a student who hasn't started working in industry, but from my experience in the recent recruiting cycle I'd say that Notre Dame, Georgetown, WashU, and Emory are similar in terms of overall prestige (a step above fordham definitely, rice is a great school but I can't comment on their business recruiting) and most IB/Consulting opportunities will be open to top performers at those schools. Georgetown is historically the strongest feeder to NY I-Banking. Other 3 tend to feed more to Chicago / Atlanta IB offices respectively (although many people definitely get to NY too). All 4 have campus recruiting for MBB and other major consulting firms

Those are all excellent schools, I would say Notre Dame and GTown are the best two (Notre Dame I believe ranks higher than GTown) but I wouldn't discount Fordham Gabelli - it places pretty well into FO (front office) positions in NYC. Feel free to DM if you have any questions on the FU business program.
