Undergrad: Cambridge v Duke v Columbia v Uchicago
I'm a high school senior and I got into Cambridge and Duke while being waitlisted by Columbia and Uchicago. For Cambridge, I got to read BA Economics at Robinson College. It's the newest college, pretty small, not as wealthy as Trinity, but nothing bad. For Duke I got into Provost Scholar Program so I'll probably have more resources than other Duke students. Which school would be better if I wanna do IB in the future? Also are Columbia or Uchicago better? If so I'm gonna start writing Love letters. Thanks!
I think geography places a big role. Where do you want to work after graduation? That should settle it. I think you should send the "love letter" to Columbia but from a strictly recruiting perspective it would be tough to argue UChicago over Duke. Congrats on the acceptances.
Well if I choose Cambridge then I'll go to a business school in the US or go to Hong Kong ( HK ppl value British degrees af). If I go to US schools then US banks.
(Also personally I think I'll transfer to Stanford or die if I go to Uchicago so I'm gonna cross it out from the list.)
I just got into UC Berkeley but it's engineering school so not really relevant with IB.
you can get a top IB job from any of those options. Duke and Columbia are most well represented on the street but I think more due to self selection than a lack of opportunities
Yea they're all great schools. If you were me which would u attend then?
Duke if you want the traditional college experience, Columbia if you want an urban experience and ivy league prestige. UofC is the most prestigious but sounds like you aren't a fan of the culture there.
Would choose Duke
