Undergrad Junior Transfer?

I am currently a sophomore at a school that is probably a semi-target and I have been looking into transferring to a stronger target school. I think I am more interested in consulting, but have been going through the networking and recruitment process for IB for the ones that have been doing on campus first rounds already. I can PM more specifically what schools I'm talking about, but in general is it a bad idea to transfer now? IB recruiting would be kinda weird transferring in the middle, but it doesn't seem like it would be a problem for consulting since the internship recruitment would be in the fall and I could always recruit for full time in consulting too. I was thinking that a stronger brand name would be worth it in the long term too. Any thoughts?
