Underpaid?
Hi all,
So I recently accepted an offer for a position at a small, full-service investment bank on their equities desk. I'm a sales analyst and my salary is only $36k without any knowledge of there being a year end bonus (doubt it). I know it's low, but am I an idiot for accepting this position? I know senior sales people are paid on commissions only. I did receive a $700 bonus, but that was for passing the Series 7. Should I look for better opportunities? If it matters I work around 60-70 hours a week.
What other options do you have? That seems terrible. It's probably in violation of minimum wage laws if you're working 60+ hours.
