Bocconi no, Oxford yes - Said is well known but not as great as the Oxford name is for UG courses. But sometimes B-schools don't have to exist for a name to be solid; LSE doesn't have one and is a UK target for IB and MC (depending on what course you take). Or at times the reverse is true; WBS is a better name than Warwick uni alone. What I mean by this is that if you wanted to take any non-business courses there are better options that Warwick uni but for business-related courses, WBS is in the top 7 in the UK.

E.g. [also, take rankings with a pinch of salt but these illustrate my point]. Take WBS' MFin and MiM. They are 6th (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/business-masters-ra…) and 4th (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/business-masters-ra…) respectively in the UK (filtering by UK).

But if you take other subjects such as History, CS or Medicine Warwick Uni ranks 9th (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/university-subject-…), 12th (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/university-subject-…) and 25th (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/university-subject-…) respectively in the UK

TLDR; yes, so check the reputation of the B-school as well as the overall uni.

I do not agree on the warwick point... Honestly Warwick uni is more renowned than its business school, which is quite weak (Warwick has a leading economics/maths/stats department, but its business school has poor placement)

And Bocconi Uni >>>> SDA Bocconi.

Thanks for your input. The thing is I am planning to study finance at SDA Bocconi but in every ranking only Bocconi appears. So I am confused if they just merge SDA and Universitá as "Bocconi" or if SDA Bocconi is just bad and that is the reason why it doesn't appear.

Bocconi Msc Finance (graduate school) >>>>> every other programme at Bocconi

Hi,

Is there a big difference placement/prestige wise between universities and their business schools? For Example Bocconi and SDA Bocconi or Oxford and Oxford Said

Thanks.

btw the guy who threw shit on my reply probably studied/is currently enrolled at WBS lol. Don't be mad mate, chill out, the unemployment is coming

Ben Rickert:
What are you on about? WBS is a top brand in the UK...

Yep , after all the courses at LSE/LBS/Oxbridge/Imperial and maybe some courses at UCL. Maybe even Economic history from LSE has a better placement.
