Unofficial Spring Recruiting timeline? (Departures, bonuses etc)

Just was curious how the "spring recruiting" (I know this isn't a formal cycle) works. From January-May what is the rough timeline to be ready for? For example, when do bonuses come in, when do departures usually occur and when does HR start looking for referrals?

Departures usually occur within 72 hours of receiving bonus. Varies for bank and location, but expect referral period intake (usually just 1 biz wk) to be pretty quick near December-end/early-Jan. Entire process turnaround to be around 2-2.5 wks.

And - this may be obvious but I'll see it anyway - will be for just the "experienced" category - appealing to those who are either in the same role at a different firm, or a different role at the same/different firm. If the former, the prospective firm tends to hire you at the year you would've been going into if you stayed at the original firm; if the latter, you may get your year downgraded as a way to make up for the lack of IB specificity (ex. incoming 3rd year S&T AN1 comes in as 2nd year IBD AN1).
