Unrelated Master degree hurting IB prospects?
Hey,
I'm in the process of finishing my undergraduate degree in Business, Economics from a reputable European business school in a couple of weeks time.
I've always aimed to pursue an MS in Finance afterwards; but I'm lacking the time to sit GMAT right now. This is the reason why I got creative and thought about doing two 1-year MS programmes. Although an MS in Finance has been my goal, receiving an interdisciplinary education has always been equally important to me. Hence, I want to pursue a Master in International Relations or Policy-making first (at the likes of LSE, UCL, Warwick). Besides, that's what I'm interested in too.
I've secured two investment banking internships with a T2 bank (think of SG, BNP, HSBC) and an MM-Boutique for next year. So a red line is ostensibly there. However, I don't know if doing an unrelated Master would hamper my chances for further IB (M&A) internships with BB/EB in Europe.
Idea anyone?
