Upcoming Case Study and Presentation Interview
Hi Everyone,
I have an upcoming interview with the real estate acquisitions team of a very large pension for an analyst role. They tend to focus heavily on office and retail, though they have exposure in all asset classes. Their portfolio is very core real estate, given they don't take on any leverage (regulatory restrictions) and often partner with other firms. From networking I know the models they run internally aren't the most complex given the lack of debt financing, and they don't often use complex waterfalls - they tend to focus on cost assumptions and leasing assumptions.
I've been told the interview will be 2 hours, with the first hour being used for both the modelling and powerpoint presentation creation, and the latter half for discussion of the case and other questions with a panel.
Does anyone know what to expect here in terms of difficulty and content coverage? I'm coming from a global macro background and I have BIWS real estate to work with, but 1 hour for both the model and powerpoint seems very slim. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
