These super hero movies are just so over the top, you can only have space aliens destroy New York so many times before it just gets boring. Movies like the Dark Knight Trilogy were fantastic because they felt so real, these super hero movies now are just CGI fests that are so over the top that they're not entertaining.

For some reason, I am also interested in Blade Runner. The last remake wasn't that great tbh, though. The original was sick.

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA

I predict Atomic Blonde will fail. So why does Wonder Woman succeed where Atomic Blonde fail? Wonder Woman is about a super hero who happens to be a woman, Atomic Blonde is a super-woman who happens to be an agent. I've always thought that women can be portrayed as strong, but when you pander to the Charlies Angels, Sex and the City crowd you are going to sacrifice plot and credibility. So instead of making a belabored point about a strong-woman protagonist, make a protagonist who is strong who happens to be a woman. E.g. Ripley, Wonder Woman, Mariska Hargitay,

Atomic Blonde may fail but I don't think it will have to do with the quality of the movie, reviews are good thus far. In reality it is competing in a murderer's row of Dunkirk, Spiderman, & war for the planet of the apes.

that's a good point. I guess I meant critically fail. I haven't seen reviews but with every movie that comes out there are always shill movie reviewers. But I could be wrong when I watch it...I may have to eat my words. I'm not spending my money on that movie.

Another point, Hanna was a good movie about a strong woman, not a girl-power movie. It is more about the movie being centered around the woman being strong like that's its MacGuffin, as opposed an actual plot. Although I loved Taken and the plot definitely took a back seat in that movie.

Can't wait for the new Kingsman, loved the first one. I saw the original Murder on the Orient Express and read the book so I already know the ending and everything, but I'll still go and see that one too (fun fact though, the train stops between two cities in Yugoslavia, Agatha Christie spent her honeymoon on the Yugoslav coast and loved it so much that she wrote several books where the scene is set there)

Saw "Dunkirk" today with a few friends and I was blown away. Nolan is a fucking genius

Might go take my little cousins to see the emoji movie tomorrow lol
