Macro, you'll do great. Just remember that he is also a person and if you sound like a robot he won't necessarily like you, even if you are knowledgeable. So take a deep breathe and relax - you have the advantage of not looking for an internship and actually truly being interested in his background.
I'd focus on 1, 2, and 8...maybe 9
starting off, you should obviously thank him for his time and say something along the lines that you realize he is very busy, etc etc. Then I'd let him know that his "background is precisely what you aspire to pursue so you are curious the path that he took, etc etc...
Once you get him talking about himself, new questions are usually much easier to come up with on the spot that are more specific -- but these are some good backups.
Since he expressed that he would like it to be short, at around 10-15 minutes, I'd say, "also, i completely understand if you have to run" etc etc...

Regarding the duration of the phone conversation, you do not have to worry about it. They’re extremely busy people, and should they have to cut the conversation short, they will. What I’d recommend is for you to fire your burning questions at him at the start, so that you will not be stuck in a predicament where he has to leave urgently and cut you off halfway without answering important queries. Once you got your key answers, just go with the flow and let him talk freely (you should still steer the conversation from time to time).
Personally, I would focus on points 1-3, 6 and 9. I would leave out point 4 and 5 since you can refer to previous threads or WSO Recommended Readings for university courses and a list of good trading books respectively.
Also, I'd recommend that you read up about current events, especially about FX, since he might test you a little at the start to see if you're serious about the session. That actually happened to me during my information session with a VP from IBD, so I was quite thankful that I had sufficient preparation before the information session.
It is normal to feel nervous, especially since this is your first time. Take deep breaths, have your notes in front of you for reference (if necessary – try not to read out word for word because it will be obvious that you’re reciting from a script) and treat the conversation as if you’re talking to a senior. Thank you very much for your input Patrick and Gekko. I was a tad bit nervous when I had originally posted this but with the conversation guidelines provided by Partick I certainly am a lot more confident.
Yo ask him how he makes money in FX? I find it nearly impossible to trade forex from my pa...the currency swings a lot of time are unjustified and your leveraged position can just eat shit and you're fucked.
Ask what kind of views and/or strategy he implements in his trading
