U.S. Growth Equity to London Investments/Corp Dev/Corp Strategy before B school
Currently working as an associate at a well known growth equity firm, previous 2 year stint in IB. Curious if anyone has insight into the plausibility of doing a 1-2 year stint at a London-based investment firm or software firm (corp dev.-focused role) after my associate stint. Basically looking at any of the common GE exit ops but in London.
Happy to take a pay cut (and do not care as much about prestige as it is international and I will likely do b school after) but just want to work internationally for a year or 2 before potentially b school. Would firms in London be willing to interview/hire someone from the U.S. with this background?
I can’t opine on the end-to-end recruiting process but I suggest you consider getting your visa in order before presenting yourself to headhunters if you are serious
Got it. Good suggestion
