USC Econ major w/ Marshall minor
I'm joining USC as an Econ major, and will almost certainly pursue a minor from Marshall (probably Business Finance). Didn't apply Marshall as I want to pursue an MBA on the east coast in the future, and would prefer to study Econ at undergrad. In terms of west coast IB and financial career opportunities, am I losing out big time by not majoring in business from Marshall? Or will I get the same/similar networking opportunities given that I do the minor from there?
You should check if USC has "decentralized networking". If they do, then a Marshall major will have some exclusive networking opps.
I don't know how to see a minor, but unless its a hard one or wildly different... I would not try to count it as much
o
bump, just wanted to get some further opinions!
Marshall courses are a lot easier and you get more opportunities with less effort. On balance if your goal is finance or consulting... GO WITH BUSINESS ADMIN.
