USC Marshall MBA or BU SMG MS-MBA

I recently got into Marshall and SMG for their full time mba programs. BU went one step further and offered me acceptance into the dual degree MS (in Info Systems) & MBA program, which will still take only 2 years. I am from NorCal and want to work in SF post-B school, in a role such as tech strategy or consulting in the tech space. What is the better option?

I think Marshall is the best bet. Neither of them will make it easy to get back to SF, but you'll have way more USC alums in the bay area than BU and you'll need them to get the jobs you're looking for. I have a similar story (bay area native wanting to return to SF), and at my east coast "top 15" we only had a few tech companies get involved in OCR so we had to get our tech interviews largely on our own. That meant lots of networking.

Now, if you were going for a product management role and you don't have any tech skills you might want the info systems MS to build that credibility. For strategy the lack of tech skill is less of a big deal, but strategy jobs are hard to get in the bay. Everyone I know who is going out there for an internship this summer (myself included) is doing product management, corporate finance, marketing, or HR.
